Here are the latest news from the MYCParis.In the issue of the magazine Yacht dating from May, 23rd 1896,
we have found an article relating regatas organized by the MYCP on the lake of the Bois de Boulogne in Paris.
in this text, it is stated that the club was founded around 1881, following the example of the Société du Havre.
The first sailing boats were much smaller than the ones of the Société du Havre, so they were just considered as "bazaar toys".But the interest for these little "toys" grew, helped by a treaty of construction written by M. de Catus. He published this book after a stay in Le Havre where he could admire many regattas of model boats.
